What is Early Years Pupil Premium?
Early Years Pupil Premium is a Government fund given to schools for eligible pupils, to ensure that all children have an equal opportunity to learn and succeed. Nursery Schools are given additional funding for each eligible pupil. The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers.
Hilltoppers Nursery is committed to equality of opportunity for all children, regardless of socio-economic background. We want to help all pupils make rapid and sustained progress and achieve as much as possible during their time at the nursery. The pupil premium grant helps us to do this by awarding the school this additional funding which can be used in a variety of ways to ensure that no child is disadvantaged because of economic circumstances.
