We understand that strong relationships between home and nursery help children feel happy, confident and ready to learn. Parents and carers are a vital part of each child’s development, and we work hard to build open, supportive partnerships with every family.
We encourage regular, informal communication and aim to make you feel welcome and involved in your child’s learning from day one.
There are lots of meaningful ways parents can support their children at home, including:
- Talking to your child about their day and encouraging them to share what they enjoyed
- Reading books, singing rhymes and encouraging early language through play
- Helping children develop independence with dressing, eating and toileting
- Creating simple routines around mealtimes and bedtimes
- Giving praise and reassurance to build confidence and self-esteem
We are always here to support you too. We provide:
- Daily handovers and conversations with our caring, experienced staff
- Support and guidance on areas like toilet training, behaviour, and communication
- Help understanding your child’s developmental milestones
- Advice on funding for 15 and 30-hour early education places
- Flexible childcare options, including wrap-around care with breakfast and after-school provision
- Information and referrals to wider family and community services, including Early Help, health visitors and family support professionals
We know every child and every family is different, and we’re here to work with you to meet your child’s individual needs. Whether you have a quick question, need some reassurance, or are looking for more specialist support, we are always happy to help.
By working together, we can give your child the very best start in life, laying strong foundations for learning, wellbeing and success.
